The Department of Public Health Sciences (formerly the Department
of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine) is a clinical and
research department in the UC Davis School of Medicine.
Our mission is to improve the health of people through population-based
approaches by carrying out educational programs, epidemiologic research,
public service and policy development.
The focus of our effort is on health promotion and disease prevention,
occupational and environmental health, health care delivery, gerontology,
ethical issues, reproductive, rural, minority and international
health.

The 2008 ASPH Annual Meeting will be held in San Diego, CA, October 25-28, 2008. ASPH Committees and Councils will meet at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, 910 Broadway Circle, San Diego, CA 92101. The ASPH 68th Annual Meeting of the Deans, also at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, will be held on Monday, October 27.
