Teaching and Degree Programs
The department contributes to teaching with undergraduate electives,
graduate courses, professional courses, and continuing medical education
courses.
Academic graduate degree programs at UC Davis are offered through Graduate
Groups in the area of specialty. The Ph.D. and M.S. in Epidemiology are
offered through the Graduate Group
in Epidemiology.
Professional graduate programs are offered through the professional schools.
The M.D. degree is offered through the School
of Medicine. The D.V.M. and M.P.V.M degrees are offered through the
School of Veterinary
Medicine. The M.P.H. degree is offered through the School of Medicine
co-sponsored by theSchool of Veterinary Medicine and administered by
the Department of Public Health Sciences.

Graduate Degree Programs:
- Epidemiology The graduate
group in Epidemiology at the University of California, Davis is a multidisciplinary
program leading to either a Master of Science or a Doctor of Philosophy
degree in epidemiology although we are currently giving strong preference
to doctoral applicants.
- Biostatistics The graduate
group in Biostatistics provides students with a solid training in the
biostatistical core disciplines and theory, state-of-the art knowledge
and skills for biostatistical data analysis, substantial exposure to
the biological and epidemiological sciences, and a strong background
in theoretical modeling, statistical techniques and quantitative as
well as computational methods.
- Pharmacology and Toxicology
The graduate group in Pharmacology and Toxicology is an interdepartmental
graduate group with over 50 faculty from the Schools of Medicine and
Veterinary Medicine and the College of Agricultural and Environmental
Sciences.
