THE UC DAVIS HEALTH SYSTEM, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH SCIENCES, AND CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT

The UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences, Continuing Medical Education, in conjunction with faculty colleagues from the Department of Internal Medicine, is presenting a course in Clinical Epidemiology and Study Design the week of July 6-10, 2009. The principal instructors are Dr. Stephen McCurdy and Dr. Patrick Romano. The course is designed for new faculty, fellows, nurses, and interested persons beginning a career in clinical research.

This intensive one-week course in clinical research methods will cover developing a research question, study design, questionnaire design, data collection, data management, analysis, and funding.

Advance registration is required.

ACCREDITATION: The University of California, Davis, Health System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit: The Office of Continuing Medical Education at the University of California, Davis Health System (School of Medicine, Medical Center and Medical Group) designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM of the Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registered Nurse: The California Board of Registered Nursing accepts CME Category 1 hours toward licensure renewal. On the BRN license renewal form, report the number of hours you attended (up to 30 hours of credit) and fill in "CME Category 1" for the provider number.
